Test

We launched uberPOOL in Delhi about two months ago, since then hundreds of thousands of Delhiites have shared their rides, saved money, helped cut down emissions and more importantly, shared moments on the go.

When you request for an uberPOOL ride, we match you with a rider heading in the same direction — realtime. The magic happens when you get matched with a long lost friend, a recruiter (yes, this happened) or a colleague who you’d never met in office.

Starting today, we’re launching: #SharedMoment. Share your most interesting uberPOOL moment over next 2 weeks, some of the most interesting ones will win free uberPOOL rides for a month and a whole lot of goodies!

How can you share? Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook, you choose the medium but make sure you tag us.

People share their uberPOOL moments with us all the time.

While most of us love the savings:

Some just like meeting new people:

Some find the experience interesting:

and our favourite, some are just left awed after getting matched with a fellow commuter:

There’s more to uberPOOL than just savings, you’re helping your city, you’re sharing your ride, and you’re sharing moments. Get ‘pooling, Delhi.

Road, Movie: Review

Road, Movie: When the journey itself is the story.

I never use tag lines for the review posts, but this instantly hit me when I walked out of the theater, so couldn’t resist myself. Road, Movie is charming, feel-good, has some dark points but an experience in itself. You won’t find anything out-of-this-world, yet it’ll not fail to impress you.
With a great ensemble of cast, good locations and excellent background score, colors, Road, Movie is more of World Cinema than conventional Hindi movie. There isn’t much about it that I can write, but notable things – some really hilarious moments, especially dialogs by Mohammed Faisal, the young guy in the movie & Satish Kaushik (Om/Chacha). Abhay Deol continues to make good choices & delivers, this time even more so ’cause he perfectly fits the bill for the character Vishnu. Well, this was the only movie that I’ve seen Tannishtha Chatterjee in, and going by her performance she happens to have a good potential, have got you checkout her previous work. Do look out for the scene where she sings an impromptu song.
With a runtime of just 95mins, it sure grips you good, but having said all good things about the movie, there were a moment or two where I went WTF?
1. The encounter with the Mafia
2. Carnival (Mela).
Post a comment on this post if you could help me clear it out, once you’ve seen the movie.

Anyway, give Road, Movie a chance if you want to find out what World Cinema feels like. I piece of advice, don’t compare it with other Hindi movies, its all about the experience.

The Ugly Truth: Review

Review by Guest Author Abhishek Gurbani

The Ugly Truth is a romantic comedy film starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. First things first it’s not a family movie because of its mature or should I say vulgar dialogues (which are thoroughly enjoyable though!). The movie is about Abby played by Katherine Heigl who is a morning TV show producer who runs into Mike Chadway, an anchor of the show ‘The Ugly Truth’ played by Gerard Butler. Abby does not approve of Mike at the first meeting for the special segment on her show but due to the pressure of her boss and falling ratings she is compelled to hire Mike for it, who by the way is extremely popular for his Love and Sex tips based upon the psychology of Men and Women. Story progresses as Mike persuades Abby to follow his advice in order to get a date for herself, a doctor named Colin played by Eric Winter who lives next door. What follows is a hilarious display of situational comedy and dialogues by Gerard Butler, who is the soul of this movie. The story is pretty much the same what you can gauge from having a look at the poster in which Katherine Heigl is holding a heart next to her brains and Gerard Butler holds the heart below his belt. He then performs the role of a TV presenter Mike, to near perfection and she does the role of a control freak turned into suave chic with ease and executes it well. The chemistry between both of them is scintillating   Watch out for the scene where Abby and Colin go for a baseball match, hilarious, also when Mike and Abby perform the very passionate Salsa at a Cuban restaurant. Also the soundtracks of the movie are worth mentioning, with songs like pocketful of sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield and Right Round by Flo Rida (yes, like Hangover right round is the song which is played when the credits roll in this movie in the end.)
Overall it’s an entertaining watch suitable for those Saturday evenings with friends.
