You think most of us have seen this movie, well that’s the illusion you live in! There are people out there who haven’t even heard about it, leave aside watching!

This is by far the most hilarious movie I’ve ever seen, and I can say that because I’m a total sucker for comedy movies. Trust me; no list of comedy movies is complete withoutAndaz Apna Apna in it! In case you doubt it, well here’s a fact, this movie is listed on #27 on the IMDB list of top comedy movies of all times. The story revolves around two small town boys who try to make it BIG in the World, how? For that watch the movie. What dialogs, what brilliant comic timing, one word Awesome!

Amir Khan and Salman Khan at their very best, and so are Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor & rest of the cast. Some of my favorite dialogs:

“You are very jokey”

“Gogo ji apka ghagara”

“Sawaal ek, jawaab do. Sawaal ek, jawaab do. Sawaal-jawaab, Sawaal-jawaab, chup.. lambi khamoshi”

American Desi

This is a typical example of a teen movie made in US and UK by a group of NRIs, every 18 months.  American Desi came out way back in 2001, and I remember watching it on Star Movies some 7 years back. It still made me laugh the same way this time as it did back then. Total senseless comedy, group of 4 Indian roommates from different background but insane in exact same way. This also happens to be one of Kal Penn’s initial movies.

Watch it for some great laughs, dialogs and soundtracks.

This is one of the movies that started the trend of NRI flicks and the famous term, A.B.C.D. – American Born Confused Desi, so it deserves a little leniency in rating. J

Little Zizou

This is a light hearted, feel-good movie, goes on without any “aim”, but you do enjoy the whole ride.  Movie has been projected in a way to ‘show’ the Parsi Community, which really pulled me into watching it. I’ve always been fascinated with different religions, and Parsi being one of them.

As for the movie, it really shows some insight of the Community. Probably because of the entire cast, from the Director Sooni Taraporevala, to Boman Irani, John Abraham and of course, Kurush Deboo [Dr. Rustam Pavri– Munnabhai M.B.B.S.]

I would say don’t expect much from it, good for a Sunday afternoon entertainer.

In Bruges

Well this happens to be my very first review, on this blog. 🙂

In Bruges is an excellent movie with some really seat gripping sequences and awesome dark humor. There are times in the movie that hit you real hard, which I won’t mention here. No Spoilers. 😉

Well, I personally find the Irish accent hard to get, but this one was easy in comparison to Trainspotting, Snatch, Lock Stock & Two Smokin’ Barrells, and This is England.

Collin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, both have given commendable performance.

I strongly recommend this movie, if you’re up for some slapstick humor and a lil’ kill-kill action.
